ACTH (Adrenocorticotropic Hormone), Plasma measures the level of ACTH in your blood. ACTH is a hormone made by the pituitary gland that tells your adrenal glands to produce cortisol (your main "stress hormone").

This test helps evaluate how well the pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis is working.
