Pregnenolone [LC/MS]

The body uses pregnenolone as a building block for other hormones, including testosterone, DHEA, estrogen, progesterone, and cortisol. Abnormal pregnenolone levels may be a sign of enzyme deficiencies that can cause imbalances in other hormone levels. Low levels of pregnenolone may be associated with increased risk of Alzheimer's disease.
